Foulness Island is a small island in Essex used by the Ministry of Defence for weapons-testing. Usually only residents and MoD contractors are allowed onto the island, but once a year they hold a charity cycle ride there. I organised a London Cycling Meetup ride there from Wickford …
I’d planned to do the ride on my trike, but the bicycle shop who swapped the tube (long story not worth telling) turned out to have pinch-punctured it in the process, so used my Brompton instead. At least I got to confirm, in the course of a 50-mile ride, that the Brooks saddle is broken-in. 🙂
Great weather, great company, great scenery. Sorry about the shaky video – a new mount that needs some work.
